Boxes, boxes everywhere . . .

It's like we're in an FPS!

Wow. A lot of people have decided to order GalCiv II from us - direct! There are literally thousands of boxes being sent out right now. The corridors are filled with boxes which have more boxes in. It's like an air-raid shelter in here. We're looking into buying more of the building we're in just to store them all.

For those of you waiting patiently, be assured that we are trying to get these boxes out as fast as we can. There is an assembly line of people packing boxes into padded envelopes in the break room. No expense is being spared to keep this workforce happy and productive, up to and including company-sponsored free pizza! Rumours of child labor are purely . . . unconfirmed.

If you've not ordered yet, bear in mind that is probably still faster (and almost certainly cheaper - they pay postage!) to get your box from your local retailer, even if you have to wait a day or so for them to get more stock in. Retail outlets include Walmart, CompUSA, EBGames, Best Buy, GameStop and Circuit City. Don't forget to pIck up a few copies for your friends as well.

Wel i know every effort is being made, The reason (pure insanity at the time) was to order from the makers.
Why go to a priest , When god is handy, cut out the middle man. All I need is a miracle and maybe I can get mine sooner, hahahahah Where are the transporters when you need them. (use the FORCE. Luke) Well UPS and fedEx lets see what these guys are made of. Take care and pack a piece of pizza in dry ice and send me a slice with my order(no fishie things, everytihing else okay).

well EB finally recieved a shipment of GC2 (non-collectors). They recieved exactly 2 units which was enuf to fill their pre-orders lol. gluck trying to find it @ EB. try one of the other ones mentioned first hehehehe (hear BestBuy recieved theirs a loong time ago).

does this mean that my copy might not have been shipped on the 21st? i paid for three day shipping and im gonna be mad if i have to wait till monday..

So does this mean that if I pre-ordered CDs from Stardock over a month ago that they haven't been sent yet? Not a bid deal to me since I read the manual ages ago and I've been playing since shortly after digital release...the CDs are just a formality to me...but are you sure you want to post something like this that could cause mass hysteria?

Hopefully the chances of me getting this game on Saturday or Sunday are good. I'm thinking about skipping Fry's since its a ways out from the rest of the stores listed (gotta think about gas ya know). I downloaded the demo of GC1 since i've always hear about it and never played it. If this game is 10x the first one then I MUST HAVE A COPY.

Look, Stardock has admited they made some errors and the publisher was unable to deal with how fast the game's popularity grew. So yeah, it sucks, but it really is not the end of the world.

Well, if people are going to be hysterical about a computer game that's their call. I tend to think that a few days of anticipation really doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, but perhaps that's just me.

Digital downloaded on 21st with TGN. Upgraded to the CE CD on 22nd. Received the CD's on the 27th. Couldnt have been simpler and big hugs to Kim and all the people involved.
